High and Rising

Weather:  Fine – wind 210 at 10–20kts
Temp:  About 15
River Condition:  Moderate flow with debris – standing wave near the Club
River Level:  Rising from 0.5220 m at 5:00pm to 0.775m at 7:00pm
Rowers:  John (sculling) and Neil, Peter, Mary & Mick with Lee as cox
Extras:  Mitch

We were pleased to welcome Mary from Yarrawonga for a row in the very high and rising Yarra this evening.  The turning point was the 2000m mark and we did very good ‘sprint’ to the finish line.  Lee had a wonderful story about ‘officiating’ at a rowing event on Saturday – he sat in the rain for some hours and lost the VRC radio in the river!

I said eyes in the boat!

We should be abe to beat a woman with a pram!

But not at this speed

Nice blade work - but we are getting further behind

Ready - aim - fire!

Going fast downstream

Nice work crew

Best if I keep my eyes closed!

More nice work

Stretching out for Christmas

Even more nice work
