Good to be (sort of) back . . .

It was a lovely autumn morning for rowing and four keen and eager rowers turned up for a workout but unfortunately I did not row.  I had intended joining the elite crew after being overseas for the last six weeks but my breakfast meeting went on way too long.  The best I could do was offer moral support in my ‘suit’. . . which some will say is yet another pathetic excuse.

There clearly has been some high water recently – the line of debris along the grass was well above the landing and concrete walkway.  If this keeps up we’ll be able to row our boats out and back in the club house without carrying them to the river!
I am planning to go rowing on Wednesday evening and again on Thursday morning, but I won’t make any promises given my attendance record so far this year!
